Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has made his decision of separation from the US. The comment on the separation was made in China, where the President is on a 4-day state visit. It was made in the presence of Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli at Beijing’s Great Hall of the People during a business forum.
The President said that the US had ‘lost’ and now they will realign with China. They have decided to move over there South China dispute and are in terms of resolving it. He has also stated that the partnership with China is the ‘only hope’ of the country for a bright and clear future, as well as, also confirmed that the relation with the US was slowly and steadily cooling off. In President Duterte’s words, he is not breaking away from the US but rather wants to be friends with everybody.
$13.5 Billion in deals will be signed between Philippine and China, as per Ramon Lopez, the trade secretary.
According to him, America has lost, now it can be said that the statement has been made in relation to the new President that America is going to have. He made it very clear too, that his country wants to be with China and get their help while helping them too. He even added to this that he wanted to visit Russia, to talk to President Putin and tell him that there are three countries, against the entire world – Russia, China and Philippines.
President Rodrigo Duterte has never been a fan of the US current President Barack Obama, as he once called him a son of a bitch who should not be questioning him about the killings in his country.
There is no denying of the fact, that President Duterte is one of the examples of the new kind of politics that has been emerging in the world. Where the political figures, no longer care about human rights and justice system, they are just breaking the rules of the basic functioning of a country and the people in it. He is well known for his harsh steps that have been taken in the country against the drug addicts, where the only way of saving someone from addiction is to kill them. He has given the powers of murdering the people, to the people.
