New Yorkers Took Their Pants Off For The Annual No Pants Subway Ride

If I can make it there
I’ll make it anywhere
It’s up to you
New York, New York

These are the lyrics of Frank Sinatra’s hit ode to the city that doesn’t sleep – New York. There’s so much happening anywhere and everywhere in New York, it’s one of the craziest cities in the world, which is nothing short of a magnificent melting pot. Something is always happening in here and there are various reasons why New York City is considered to be the home of the crazy.

One of such reasons, or rather traditions is, No Pants Subway Ride.

Started by a small group of 7 people in 2002, No Pants Subway Ride was just a sort of experiment. However, after the arrival of YouTube the news got out and more and more people started being a part of this crazy and wacky improve. Now in its 17th years, No Pants Subway Ride is an international celebration of silliness, with dozens of cities around the world participating each year.

Usually celebrated in January, with the exact date being announced in December, No Pants Subway Ride is a long going tradition. However, when the blizzard hit New York City just days back, people thought that there won’t be many participating in it. But, they’re wrong.

The No Pants Subway Ride took place in frigid 17F degree weather and was spread out over seven meeting points and eleven subway lines.

Check out the pictures and videos from this year’s event.
