Multiple Explosions In Syria, 43 People Killed!!

On Monday a string of bomb explosions hit across Syria, the attacks were targeted on mostly government-controlled areas of Syria. Several dozens of people killed including at least 30 people in President Bashar al-Assad’s coastal stronghold of Tartus.

43 people died and 45 were wounded in the double bombing that happened outside of Tartus city. The city is home to a Russian naval base.

No one claimed the responsibility for the blasts but such blasts are regularly carried by Islamic State group in several of the areas that hit on Monday.

Other attacks hit government-held Homs city, Kurdish security forces checkpoint in Hasakeh city and an army checkpoint on a road outside Damascus.

Two blasts targeted the Arzuna bridge in Tartus. According to a state television, first a car bomb exploded and when people gathered to help the wounded, a suicide bomber detonated his explosive belt.

The northeast of Syria has also faced attacks, at least eight people were killed by a bomber on a bike in Hasakeh. The city is mostly controlled by

Kurdish forces but the regime was also present. The city has been regularly targeted by the Islamic State group, it faced another motorcycle bomber attack in July in which at least 16 people outside a bakery were killed  in the city.

At least four people were killed in central Homs city in a car bomb at the entrance to the Al-Zahraa neighbourhood. The residents of Al-Zahraa mostly belong to the same Alawite sect as Assad.

Al-Zahraa  also faced regular bomb attacks including a double bomb blast in February that killed 57 people. The attacks were claimed by IS.
