Melania Trump Wore A ‘I really don’t care, do u?’ Jacket While Visiting Immigrant Child Centre

Someone once said, “don’t be afraid to express yourself through fashion” and one of the firm believers of this particular quote has to be US First Lady and President’s current wife – Melania Trump. While boarding the Air Force plane to visit migrant children at the Texas-Mexico border on Thursday, Mrs. Trump was spotted in a jacket that said, ‘I really don’t care, do u?’ on the back of it.

Her clothing choice has been called out to be both bizarre and insensitive towards the place she was visiting to, with this outfit.

Us President Donald Trump’s administration has received a widespread criticism in the recent weeks over its “zero tolerance” immigration policy. The same policy has led to thousands of children being separated from their parents at the border while the adults are charged with illegally crossing into the U.S. However, after an intense amount of backlash, President reversed his administration’s stance and signed an Executive Order stating the same.

It’s also interesting to note that though the first lady arrived at Andrews Air Force base in Maryland wearing the jacket, by the time the plane landed in McAllen, Texas, she had changed into a far more innocuous cream colored jacket instead. However, she changed back into it even after receiving criticism for it earlier.

This is not the first time when people have found First Lady Melania Trump’s outfit to be a little mistuned for the occasion. She famously wore stiletto heels while traveling, coincidentally, to Texas previously to survey the damage from Hurricane Harvey.

Many from first lady’s office have come forward to say that she’s just wearing a jacket and there’s no hidden meaning behind it.

But the President doesn’t believe it. In fact, as per him, the jacket was worn for a reason and for a message to be delivered. It was worn for the ‘fake news media’.

As for others, there was an immense amount of backlash on the news from people on the Internet. Here’s how they reacted.

For what it’s worth, someone with a stature like Melania Trump should know that each and everything that she does and wears does make an impact on the world and how she’s interpreted for it. If you don’t believe in something like that, then maybe just don’t wear it to places like these.
