Transformers series has been an absolute favourite of many. It was first an anime in which cars used to transform into robots who were fighting to save the world. Soon the show got so popular that a bunch of filmmakers decided to make a movie on the same storyline. And, then, what started with one movie turned into a whole new franchise that both young and adults could enjoy.
Expanding on the same horizon, now, a bunch of engineers from a Japanese company has turned the transforms’ dream theme into a reality. They have created a car that can turn into a transformer in mere seconds – 60 seconds to be precise.
The blue and white robot called the “J-deite RIDE” is the brainchild of Kenji Ishida, CEO of Brave Robotics. “I grew up believing that robots had to be capable of such things, which became my motivation to develop this robot,” Ishida told Reuters.
Though it’s just a two-seater, it’s ability to turn into a transformer so smoothly and precisely has surprised millions of people all over the globe. Which is why people on the Internet just can’t stop talking about it. Check out the video of the car over here.
Just like you, there are hundreds of people who couldn’t contain their excitement upon watching this video. Here’s how they reacted to the video and the invention.
The RIDE has been co-developed with Asratec, a robot consulting firm, and amusement ride manufacturer Sansei Technologies.
Now, as great as the news might seem, this is not the first time when something like this has been created. In 2016, a Turkish company called Letvision made and unveiled their own transformer-like-robot. They named the robot, Antimon, and just like this Japanese one, even Antimon gathered huge online attention.
