Switzerland Ranked As One Of The World’s Safest Countries

It is a heavenly abode on the face of the earth. It is a place like no other, truth be told. More people have it on their travel itinerary than what most would imagine. It’s a country that many reckon possesses the magnificent beauty of a fairy-tale book as if someone made all the beautiful fantasies; rivers running wild, broad, lanky, luscious snow peak mountains cajoling our attention; come true! What’s more? The country is as beautiful as it is inspiring and it’s now one of the world’s safest countries.

There’s always more to Switzerland than meets the eye. Isn’t it?

Like there’s never any limit to the exhilaration it serves; whether to those bitten by the travel bug or those who want to escape into a zone where they can evade the needless thinking and simply ‘be!’

But as Switzerland becomes one of the world’s safest countries- in a study conducted by International SOS- a travel security risk services company- we are reminded of something important and relevant that would’ve contributed to making the land-locked nation rise to this level of prominence.

The Local- among the widely-read and fastest-growing platforms in all of Europe underlined an interesting perspective in this regard. It happened to share the following:

Switzerland is among the safest countries in all categories, including infectious diseases, political unrest, and road safety.

The Local Switzerland

Other safe nations in Europe, whose risk in all categories is listed as “insignificant”, are Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Luxembourg, and Slovenia.

All that said, it’s also important to know which other countries on the planet are deemed safe for travel. The US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan are considered relatively ‘low risk’ for travel. That said, which nations or regions, one wonders, might be deemed unsafe for travel.

It’s unfortunate to know but there are some regions in Africa and Asia that have been marked as relatively ‘unsafe‘ or to put it simply, dangerous for travel.

But let us try to understand as to what makes Switzerland safe, and has, therefore, risen to be one of the world’s safest countries? A contribution of factors that help not only the local bunch of population but also the foreign visitors or ex-pats together make Switzerland one of the world’s safest countries.

One of the key findings of the study (or survey) pointed to a salient feature that underlines why Switzerland is among the world’s safest countries. Around 96 percent of those who were covered in the study shared that they feel “personally safe” in the country.

But that said, not only according to International SOS, but even other studies have reckoned Switzerland as one of the world’s safest countries. The Local, adding some incisive findings, in its study happened to elaborate more on this line of thought and shared:

Switzerland was found to be among the safest countries in other studies as well. It is listed in the second place in the Global Finance magazine’s survey of 128 nations, based on the criteria such as crime, terrorism, and war.

That being shared, what’s exciting is to note that some of the other countries that have been identified as among the safest in the world include the likes of Egypt, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
