There Are 1,00,000 Dead In Germany Due To COVID 19!

If the last 24 hours are an indication, then the fourth COVID 19 wave has hit Germany worse than what was expected. So how did this happen and what, essentially speaking, has happened? Sad, morose, horrific, call it what you may! But truth certainly is that inside a single day’s time, no fewer than 76,000 new COVID cases have been recorded by Germany.

For any country, forget Germany, which anyways happens to be among the strongest economies of the world, recording over the course of a single day 76,000 cases is a shocker! That’s when the healthcare system and medical facilities are such that one can fend off worser days and that sort of thing.

But even then, to simply take cognizance of the fact that while there are those countries in Europe, think Belgium, Spain, the UK that have moved on from worst days in the past and then there’s you aka Germany, which is still haggling with such extremity- it can be very disappointing. It can be, for the lack of better expression, morale crushing.

And do you know why? Particularly when one takes note of the following statistic:

A day earlier, the country recorded 75,961 new COVID-19 cases and 351 fatalities.

Like many other countries, Germany is currently facing the fourth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, which bring record numbers of new cases.

The World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic on March 11, 2020. To date, more than 259.94 million people have been infected with the coronavirus worldwide, with over 5.18 million fatalities, according to Johns Hopkins University.

Now the above, as published on the revered Business standard isn’t the only reason why the updates in Germany are a shocker. There’s another reason to it! The actual fact that ever since the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic, this number points to the highest number of cases inside a single day has one and all shocked and perhaps rightly so.

When might the days of normality reappear? When might a casual day, where just about everything goes alright and as per normal happen is something all are wondering? Moreover, Germany, on the whole is anyways dealing with something far too important and vital in the course of its everyday contemporary being! That a full-time Chancellor is yet to be formally announced only points to the fact that the there’s too much already up Germany’s sleeve to be taken care of than for a new trouble in the form of the fourth COVID wave to take place!

A future that keenly awaits a new political head honcho or luminary to guide the Western European power into the right direction is what the country so desperately seeks. A country that is still very much the beating heart of Western Europe, the strongman of a 44-nation strong continent. And yet, very much that very place that hopes to find some sort of normality amid times where the other nations are already keenly awaiting to enter the Xmas mood and the festivities associated with the New Year.

All one can say is that November 25, 2021 wasn’t such a stellar Happy Thanksgiving day for Deutschland, after all!
