Finally, A Moment Of Reprieve As Boris Johnson Is Discharged

It may not be the most impressive piece of news that one would find in today’s newspapers or the media, in general.

Yet, it is a piece of news for which England, one can say with a sense of confidence, would experience a momentarily sigh of relief, if not a hearty enough reason to break into a gigantic smile.

In what could also be described as a bit of an incredulous moment that has announced itself amid the enveloping grief all around thanks to the COVID-19 scare, the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was discharged today from the hospital, after having been admitted several days before.

Now, if that’s not even a tiny iota of a reason to smile, then one wonders, what might ever suffice?

Soon as he was discharged from the hospital, where he had spent several days fully quarantined, Boris Johnson immediately gave credit to the one critical source he hailed for his full recovery. Rallying behind the amazing NHS workers whom he regarded for saving his life, it didn’t take long for the famous British Prime Minister to admit, who it is, he felt was responsible for giving him a new lease of life, if it can be put that way.

He was understandably all praise for the NHS staff for bringing him back t a state of normalcy, which it isn’t that hard to know was the very thing the noted political luminary would’ve wished for, during his intense period of convalescence.

A report published in the revered BBC had the following information to share, as on April 12, 2004:

In a statement released by No 10, the prime minister, 55, thanked medics at St Thomas’ Hospital in London, where he continues to recover after spending three nights in intensive care.

It comes as UK deaths from the virus are expected to pass 10,000 on Sunday.

On Saturday, the UK recorded 917 new coronavirus deaths, taking total hospital deaths to 9,875.
