China is, at least, for the better part of the world, an ever-bright symbol of economic power. Its economic power bolstered by the spirit of industrialization and enterprises have catapulted the Oriental Land to the attention of the entire world. A common saying about China is pretty much simple and a kind of a tribute to its all-encompassing spirit of achieving:
Nearly everything that the world has, China has too. And perhaps, it has that in a plenty of abundances. Isn’t it?
The China one finds engaged in or immersed with Communism is but one part of the story; only one side of the coin. In order to appreciate the full picture, you have to, quite simply, ‘Enter the Dragon.’
And at the end of the day, a dragon is what China really is, for pretty much everything: it’s ability to fist fight with the developed west in the realms of science and technology, business and enterprise.
But all that said, one is often led to a pretty simple but arresting question. Is what you read above all that there is about China?
The land of the Qing Dynasty, a country that has exerted with all its might, the power to match a legendary country like Japan in various spheres, the land from where Genghis Khan emerged, a country that only recently sparked a huge ‘toilet revolution’ is a beacon of productivity.
Regardless of whether you are a tech-innovator, a start-up leader, a housewife who loves traveling, a blogger who reviews landmark properties and residences or a sportsman whose life is about the best-tasting green tea, China is and shall always be about the Great Wall Of China.
This is a part of the great eastern country that’s not going to buckle down to the increasing popularity Chinese manufacturing enterprises have gathered over all these years. And of course, it’s not that hard to understand why.
The Great Wall of China has, for the longest possible time, been an immensely valuable multiplier to the tourist figures the land of Bruce Lee generates (rather enjoys) each year. Having said that, it appears that not everything is under control where The Great Wall remains. Apparently, at the present moment in time, there lies a bit of a concern that’s staring in the eye of this behemoth architectural marvel, among the finest in the whole wide world!
So what exactly is the issue, one might ask?
Here’s what it is.
This enduring monument, famous for being man-made entirely and one that’s not really visible from the outer space (as suggested) is lying in a bit of a ruined state. Apparently, that’s just the tip of the iceberg, do you know?
So, well how grave is the problem and what exactly does one mean by stating that the monument is in ruins?
According to National Geographic, as much as 30 percent of the wall “lies crumbling into ruins” as it is slowly reclaimed by the natural world.
Having said that, a point in concern might want to focus or take into consideration the official word or verdict published in mainstream Chinese or national publications, for example, the South China Morning Post, among the most respected papers on the region.
Is the view mentioned above resonating with the reports being published in these oriental publications as well? How true is the extent of the current issue that’s engulfed the Great Wall of China?
The questions run amock.
What’s known is the following, a slice of information published on Network 18 news website in India, www.news18.com:
Given the changing landscapes it traverses, with parts of it now inaccessible to human beings due to geographical changes and other anomalies, Chinese authorities have been struggling to map the extent of the damage as well as figure out which portions are salvageable and which are beyond redeeming.
All that said, one wonders, what’s really going to happen to the Great Wall of China. One also wishes to know what does the audience presiding over the restoration work of the Great Wall pay obeisance to the extent of the wall’s true damage?
