‘Secret Superstar’: Aamir Is Back With His ‘Dangal’ Daughter And In A Flashy Avatar

Merely a week before the release of Aamir Khan’s much-awaited ‘Dangal’, Aamir has released the first look of his next production venture, ‘Secret Superstar’. Now, if you remember about Aamir Khan’s funky hairstyle in the month of September, where he had bronze highlights and super flashy clothes, he was carrying that style for this same movie. The main lead of the film is Zaira Wasim, who has also played the role of Aamir’s daughter in ‘Dangal’, and she plays the character of a Muslim girl who dreams of making her voice heard all across the world.

In ‘Secret Superstar’ Insia (Zaira’s character) wants to make her dream come true, despite having a conservative father, because of which she starts posting her singing videos on YouTube. However, she does keep her identity a secret by wearing a burqa. In the end of the trailer, Mr Perfectionist grace us with her flashy presence (along with two super-flashy sidekicks) and gives a very simple advice:

“Pasand aaya toh like karo, pasand nahi aaya toh taste change karo”.

The film is definitely going to be something different for the Indian cinema, and it stars Zaira Wasim, Meher Vij, Raj Arjun, Kabir Sheikh, Tirth Sharma, Farrukh Jaffer and Aamir Khan. As ‘Secret Superstar’ is about a singer’s journey, the music from the film is expected to be quite interesting and good. The music is given by Amit Trivedi and has lyrics by Kausar Munir.

“Secret Superstar” is directed by debutante Advait Chandan and is booked to be released on 4 August 2017.
