David Schwimmer’s #ThatsHarassment Short Films Depicts Sexual Harassment In The Most Realistic Way Possible

Sexual Harassment has always been in existence, however, we are finally talking about it openly, more than ever. As a result of this, many chilling incidences are coming in the limelight every now and then, for example, the UBER issue or the recent stint in TVF. All of these incidents have gathered a huge attention to them, which has led many who have been through same incidents, to speak about and against it.

Last year, Israeli-American Director Sigal Avin brought out five short films that were written and directed by her only. These short films were released in Israel last December and had various real life incidence, one of which was actually from Avin’s personal experience that she faced in her early career days where she was sexually harassed by a ‘very famous star’.

Sigal Avin later approached her friend David Schwimmer with the idea to adapt these short films for the American, as well as world, audience. Schwimmer immediately agreed to the idea and shot all the six videos over the course of one single weekend, and named the campaign #ThatsHarassment. Various popular actors came together for these short films, including Emmy Rossum, Cynthia Nixon, Bobby Cannavale, Cristela Alonzo and David Schwimmer himself.
