“Da Da Dasse” is a kind of song that brings out the dark and twisted plot of “Udta Punjab”. Previous release “Chitta Ve” may has been a shining song for Shahid Kapoor but “Da Da Dasse” is totally Alia Bhatt’s drill. The song features Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh but Alia Bhatt is winning the show.
This one is yet another trippy song from the movie however it reveals the darkest hurricane of drugs in which Punjab is totally drowning. The video throws light on the serious issue of drug trafficking and smuggling. A doctor who is worried to see every patient intoxicated in drugs, a drug addict rock star, an honest police officer and a migrant from Bihar who is living her life by supplying drugs. The song has every catastrophic situation that will make you jump out of the skin.

Apart from the video, the Hindi-Punjabi lyrics will win your heart. The soulful lyrics are penned by Shellee and “Da Da Dasse” is crooned in the ear pleasing voices of Kanika Kapoor & Babu Haabi. The music of the song is composed by Amit Trivedi. “Udta Punjab” is directed by Abhishek Chaubey and is slated to release on 17 June 2016.
