Normality doesn’t suit some people. It never did suit Michael Jackson. It doesn’t seem to be cozying up to Donald Trump. Quite frankly, it doesn’t suit Black Chyna either especially when a pop star has a name that pretty much seemingly indicates a country undergoing a demographic boil down. How can then one expect Natalie Suleman to be normal?
Usually, it is said and believed the world is already too overpopulated for it to ever afford feeding its rising population with sustainable amount of resources. Normal people therefore populate thoughtfully. Most settle down with two kids or three at the most.
But not this Californian woman Natalie Suleman who established quite a reputation being dubbed the Octomom. For Natalie wasn’t quite content with 5, 6 or even 9 children. She produced 14 kids. Yes, that’s 3 more than what a usual Soccer or Cricket side fields on the ground. Can you beat that?
Having split from her husband and having to raise an entire herd of children all on her own did come at some cost to Natalie Suleman, who confesses to have resumed her ‘normal life’. After a string of financial issues that even saw her on the brink of suicide, Natalie or Nadya as she’s called is back to being normal.
Of course, one doesn’t need to be reminded- having presumably read over and over again- that infamy found Natalie when in 2009 she underwent an IVF treatment to become pregnant with 8 children when she had already birthed 6 before. Things became dull and ever so frightening for Natalie who even took to adult films and making rounds of strip clubs in order to provide for her family.
But somehow, thankfully, Natalie reforged ties with normality and quit what had then threatened to be an addiction with prescription drugs, benzodiazepines. Convinced that her true strength in life lay in her children who she had to live and live well for, Natalie decided to begin again and begin afresh with renewed vigour.
She works in Laguna Niguel at California as a counsellor to men and women who are addicted to alcohol and advises them against it. But the real reason behind the newfound transition in Natalie’s life isn’t actually her own self. In fact, Natalie Suleman remembers an individual who she proclaims was an ‘angel’, one who met her during one the nights where she worked as a stripper. She recalls fondly a man who met her during a strange midnight encounter, held her hand and repeated her a simple line as many as five times, “you do not have to do this.” After this, Natalie confesses to have been moved into a state of self introspection where she decided she had to take control of herself. Here she is today: a changed mom, a happy individual and above all, a content single mother who is the happiest being home with her children.
