Bangladesh’s Mushfiqur Rahim’s Naagin Dance Is The New Meme In Town

Cricket has a long history of offering something hilarious and funny and memorable in the wake of a win. There has been Sourav Ganguly’s shirtless moment and Chris Gayle’s Gangnam Dance, and so much more. Now, there’s something and new from Bangladesh ’s star cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim.

Following Bangladesh’s win over Sri Lanka in the Nidahas Trophy, Rahim broke into a fantastic and hilarious Naagin Dance to commemorate his team’s work. In case you haven’t seen the winning dance yet, here you go.

A win can immediately take over one’s emotions and that’s exactly what happened here. Rahim could not control his emotions after hitting the winning runs against Sri Lanka, helping his team chase down a record 215 runs. Soon, the fun and quirky moves were all over social media, blended with a variety of memes and hypothetical situations. After all, that’s what really happens on social media with every memorable moment.

Sri Lankans set a massive target of 215 before the Bangladesh team. However, openers Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das gave Bangladesh a rousing start adding 74 in only six overs. Despite an amazing game by the two openers, Bangladesh still needed 115 runs from 57 balls to win the series and that’s exactly when Rahim walked out to bat. From there on, it was all Rahim ’s game and he indeed played it very well. Rahim made a staggering 35-ball 72, however, this game would not be remembered for Rahim ’s brilliance with the bat, but for his dance sequence post winning.
