Cricketer turned Politician Imran Khan’s love life has always been a centre of news, all throughout his career in the spotlight, both in his home country Pakistan and India. He has had two marriages in the past, along with scads of affair rumours with some of the most high-profile women in Pakistan.
Now, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced the third marriage of their party chief, with his spiritual guide Bushra Maneka. The announcement, which was made by PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry in a tweet, end weeks of speculation about the union of the two.
Chaudhry said that the couple got married in a low-key ceremony at Maneka’s brother’s residence in Lahore. PTI Central Executive Committee member Mufti Muhammad Saeed performed the ‘nikah’. “Marriage is the combination of two hearts and two souls which join each on this special day of the wedding. I wish a very happy and blessed married life to Imran Khan,” Chaudhry said. “The valima ceremony will also be held in a simple manner in a few days,” he said.
The social media wing of the party released photos from the ceremony in which Imran can be seen donning a shalwar kameez and a black jacket, while the bride is decked in a red suit along with a woolen shawl. However, none of Imran’s sisters were present at the ceremony.

Imran Khan first got married in 1995 to Jemima Goldsmith, daughter of a British billionaire, which lasted nine years. The couple had to two sons from the marriage. His second marriage with TV anchor Reham Khan in 2015 ended after brief 10 months.
Reham Khan congratulated the couple on Twitter while cornering herself from the situation. In one of the tweets, Reham said, “I hope your new wife is not as evil as I was.”
As per reports, Imran got close to Maneka about a year ago while seeking spiritual advice from her, especially when the predictions she made about his party came true. Later, both developed some ‘intimacy’ and finally, Bushra took divorce from her husband and contracted marriage with Imran early last month.
