50 Moms And Their Kids With Down-syndrome Singing ‘A Thousand Years’ Will Bring Happy Tears To Your Eyes

A mother’s love for their kids and their kid’s love for her is something that just can’t be described through mere words. It’s so much more than what could ever be put into words, it can only be felt. In one of those chances to feel a mother and their kid’s love for each other, we got hold of this viral video that is melting hearts all over the world.

50 moms and their kids with down syndrome came together in a video to sing the beautiful ‘A Thousand Years’ song by Christina Perri. The video was made to celebrate the World Down Syndrome Day on March 21.

The video was planned by the moms of a Facebook group known as “Designer Genes” created for parents who have children with Down’s Syndrome, born in the year 2013 and 2014. They got together to show the world just how ordinary and fun life with the condition is and how they “Wouldn’t Change a Thing”.

The mothers decided to not just sing along with the song, but rather made it more accessible by performing on it with the help of sign language.

Watch The Video Over Here:

The video was originally inspired by Singing Hands – a UK organisation who’s videos have helped many in the group learn Makaton for supporting their children’s communication development. Makaton is designed to help hearing people with learning or communication difficulties using signs, symbols alongside speech,” the makers said.

Upon watching this beautiful video, we couldn’t help but shed few happy tears. Funny how the most natural things and emotions in the world can warm your hearts instantly. Much like us, Christina Perri, the singer of A Thousand Years also loved the video and extended her support to the initiative.
