Witness Snowfall In The Most Beautiful Way Possible In These Locations In India

I live in Delhi which is a place of extremes, nothing short of extreme would happen in Delhi or catch a Delhiites’ attention. We have extreme summer, extreme rains, extreme humidity and even extreme winter (p.s. We’ve a Bollywood dance number on it ‘Dilli Ki Sardi’). However, in the lands of extremities, we’re deprived of one beautiful element of winter and that is SNOW.

Who hates it? Because I know that I do. Every year, we witness a record-breaking winter, however, we have never been graced with snow and it makes me so angry. But then, there are some other places around our capital and in our country which get to behold the beautiful snowflakes and snow. All of you, who suffer from the same frustration, can witness the beauty of snow at one of these places, that’ve snow-capped mountains and are covered in a blanket of snow.

These places are considered a hill-station and have aptly justified the answer for all the hill’s person. So, the next time someone asks you about why you’re a hills’ person, just show them the magnificent images of these places.

1. Auli, Uttrakhand

Auli is still one of the lesser known places in Uttrakhand, however, quite popular among the trekkers. It hosts one of the biggest skiing competition in the world, in the month of February that attracts thousands of professional skiers from all around the world. That should be enough reasoning for it being an amazing snow-balled place.

2. Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir

Pahalgam is one of the most beautiful snow covered cities in India and the people who’ve been here would definitely agree to it. Apart from the snow-covered mountains and perfect slopes for skiing, you can also visit the beautiful riverside.

3. Nainital, Uttrakhand

Nainital is popular for its misty lakes and mountains and is also a part of some of the most beautiful snowfalls in the country. You can visit the beautiful and popular Nanda Devi Peak and Naina Lake.

4. Patnitop, Jammu & Kashmir

Patnitop is another favourite of travellers, plus you can see the snow in Patnitop in almost any month of the year. It is one of most popular tourist destinations in Jammu and is situated in the Udhampur district of the state.

5. Triund, Himachal Pradesh

Triund is trekker’s paradise and offers one of the most of the most beautiful and satisfactory trekking experience of one’s life. The entire experience turns 100 times better with snow-covered mountains and with the panoramic view.

6. Kufri, Himachal Pradesh

Kufri is another amazing place which is perfect for skiing and a popular tourist destination in Himachal. It is one of the most picturesque hill stations in the country and offers a rather stunning view of the natural beauty. Kurfi has the oldest skiing slopes in Himachal which attract ski-addicts from all around the world.

These six places have panoramic views and offer more than just a destination to stay, they offer an experience that visitors cherish for their entire lives. Visiting these places while snowing, would have a lasting impact on your memory due to which you would want to be back in the mountains, as soon as possible.
