Around 50 million Indians are set to travel abroad in 2019: World Tourist Organization

There’s this simple and uncomplicated saying, rather a philosophy in life. You’d rather do all that you want to in this life for all we have, at the end of the day, is one life itself. In that regard, therefore, one’s got to do what one’s got to do. So why not travel- right?

Because when you travel, you leave behind all the worries and find yourself in the world. Having said that, if you have noticed a common trend, according to the past decade or so, you may have realized a change, of sorts.

While there was a time where tourists who used to travel mostly within the country, the greatest gift of the liberalized world, coupled with a rise in a purchase or spending power in different parts of the world is the idea of increased travel.

Now, this is not any lame move. In today’s day and age, it is nothing shy than a gift, in the real sense of the word. Is it not?

Over the past few years, one of the things that must have struck the common observation of the country is that no longer do Indians only travel to international (or global) cities such as London, New York, Los Angeles, or, Bangkok.

What has changed, is that the more the world has begun to knock on India’s doors, employment opportunities across different sectors and industries offering an opportunity to Indian talents leading to a paradigm change, the more the increase in the chance to travel.

Now, on these lines, there’s an interesting update shared by the World Tourism Organization, based in Spain.

The organization centred in Madrid, Spain has come out with a sensational piece of data in regards to the number of Indians who are expected to travel overseas the coming year.

Apparently, as many as 50 million Indians are all set to travel in different parts of the globe in 2019. Now that’s not just any random figure. This is a massive number in its own right, is it not?

In that regard, the Economic Times, also published a report that quoted the following:

According to the UN World Tourism Organisation, 50 million Indians will travel overseas in 2019, up from 23 million in 2017. Here is a look at some of the destinations worth visiting in 2019.
