Almost a month and a half back, India witnessed a bold move that went ahead with the scrapping of then existing Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes as legal tenders. Ever since then, people are almost in a dilemma of what to do and what not to do in order to get hold of their own money. While some are standing in line for depositing cash, others are in line to withdraw their cash, in short everyone is in line and facing cash crunch like never before.
However, e-commerce giant Snapdeal is here to your rescue, they have launched ‘Cash@Home’ service which is going to be respiting for every one of us. Through this service, one would be able to request for cash up to Rs 2000 per booking and pay for it with any bank’s ATM card. A nominal fee of Rs 1 would be charged as convenience fee which can be paid through Freecharge or a debit card at the time of booking.
One of the best things about the service is that the customer is not required to buy anything from Snapdeal in order to avail the service. ‘Cash@Home’ is only available in Gurgaon and Bangalore as of now, however, the service would soon be extended to other major cities of the country.
Rohit Bansal, co-founder of Snapdeal, said, “as the country transitions to a more digitally-enabled economy, we have launched a series of timely initiatives – from wallet and card on delivery, to extending FreeCharge partnerships to smoothen this transition“.
