Samsung Galaxy S8, the table turner from the Korean smartphone maker is undoubtedly the most anticipated smartphone of 2017 and after Samsung’s decision to ditch MWC 2017 for it’s launch, the never ending wait has just increased.
Rumors and leaks, over the last 6 months, about Samsung Galaxy S8 have taken the world by storm as tech enthusiasts from around the world are slavering to get their hands on this device. After an abrupt ending of Samsung Galaxy Note 7, resulting in huge goodwill loss for the company, Galaxy S8 is expected to bring back the Korean manufacturer in the list of best smartphone makers.
While Google Pixel and Pixel XL have taken the top spot as the best smartphone right now, the competition is against going to lit as the profusion of rumors and reports about Samsung Galaxy S8 are leaving the world drooling over.
The first set of rumors already made Samsung Galaxy S8 the unprecedented Lycan of the industry and last week, a Chinese tipster revealed that a 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage Galaxy S8 model is on the cards for the Chinese and South Korean markets, amid the rumors of a 4GB/64GB variant.

The one thing we never knew was the expected price range of Samsung Galaxy S8 and now, these details have also been revealed by him. While the authenticity cannot be verified, the tipster says that he’s ‘received some information’ and this is how the Galaxy S8 will look like.
The image shows no home button at the front and the rear side shows a fingerprint scanner with camera and lens, which was shown in an earlier concept as well. According to the leaked image, there are three buttons on the left along with volume rockers while the right side just has the power button.
Noticeably, a Twitter user shared a same concept image render of Samsung Galaxy S8, last month that is similar to the one shared by the Chinese tipster, who goes by @mmdj_china on Twitter.
The new leaks hint at the Galaxy S8 being offered in 6GB RAM variant in China and South Korea and the smartphone is also tipped to be powered by the home grown 3GHz Exynos 8895 processor instead of a Snapdragon 835 SoC in India and some European regions. However, the other Asian markets are expected to get option to choose between 64GB or 128GB internal storage and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. Samsung Galaxy S8 is further rumoured to be made available in 4GB/64GB option in Europe and other regions, including India.
Another leak suggests that Samsung Galaxy S8 will support ‘Dual ADC’ for better colour reproduction with the 12MP primary camera and the sensor is not a Sony IMX 204 but do have colour depth reading capabilities.
Samsung Galaxy S8 is further expected to flaunt an Iris scanner, and Samsung’s new digital assistant called ‘Bixby’, capable of handling complex commands. The device may get force touch functionality (Ala Apple iPhones) at the lower part of the display, having the potential of distinguishing between the pressure put on the display.
Coming to the price, the device will be priced at 6,088 Yuan (Rs 61,000 approx) for the 64GB storage option and the 128GB model will be priced at 6,488 Yuan (Rs 65,000 approx), according to recent leaks.
At this price-tag, Samsung seems be clearly going for the premium segment this time, and the likes of iPhone 7 and Google Pixel XL will have all the reasons to worry about their new competitor.
The Galaxy S8+ is also set to come with the exact specifications as the Samsung Galaxy S8 but with a much bigger 6.2 screen.
Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to launch at a dedicated event on March 29 and while the pre-orders are expected to start from 10th April, the smartphone is expected to hit the retail stores on 21st April.
