Reliance Jio is providing free calling and data services through its welcome offer since its launch in September 2016 and the services were scheduled to end by 31st December 2016. According to the new update by company officials, Jio is planning to extend the time limit may extent till march 2017.
In our previous update, we informed our viewers about the TRAI guidelines, according to which, a company can not give free services for more than 90 days continuously. After TRAI’s ultimatum, Jio officials confirmed the news and said that the free services will discontinue after 31 December 2016.

Reliance Jio’s officials have claimed that due to the feud between Jio and other companies on the interconnections points, Jio customers have not experienced the real quality of services promised by the company and Jio needs more time to gain the trust of Indian customers.
The company thinks that they need more time and want to offer free services till March 2017. A request has been forwarded to Telecom Regulatory Authority Of India by Reliance Jio representatives in this regard and they are hopeful of getting a positive response from the authority.
