Zopo Speed X Launched in India: If Priced Right, This Can Be A Game Changer

Zopo Speed X has been launched in India by the Chinese smartphone maker and the company has been playing it aggressively when it comes to entering an already crowded segment. Take Color M4 for instance, the Rs 4999 priced smartphone doesn’t offer anything special but you can also not expect more from a device like this if it’s not a Xiaomi.

It’s been just a couple of years that Zopo has entered the smartphone market but by the likes of it, we expect the company to flourish at the pace never seen before. This takes us to the recently launched Zopo Speed X. The smartphone boasts a dual camera setup, 3GB of RAM, a fast octa-core SoC as well as Android 7.0 Nougat with near stock experience.

Zopo Speed X with the above-mentioned specifications can be a game changer for the company, which is yet to decide on the pricing of the device. However, it priced right, despite a couple of drawbacks, Zopo Speed X has everything a smartphone needs to squeeze itself in the Indian mid-budget market, currently ruled by Xiaomi and Lenovo.

An Indian touch has also been given to the Zopo Speed X with the introduction of an artificial intelligence based chatbot, Niki, funded by Ratan Tata. Niki gives users options to shop from 20-plus e-commerce sites. Also, in order to pay bills, book cabs, hotels, buses, movie tickets along with a slew of other options, within seconds, users will just need to chat with Niki.

Despite having the drawbacks like non-SD processor and lower battery backup, it’s is the multimedia department where Zopo Speed X shine, taking nothing away from the performance potential. It’s just that we have seen better packages in the market but as a first step into mid-budget flagship devices, Zopo Speed X is the perfect player to bet on.

As for the price and availability, we have to wait for the company’s official announcement but if the Zopo Speed X is priced anywhere below the Rs 15,000-mark, the smartphone will be a serious game changer for Zopo in India.
