Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has been launched in China and is going to come to India very soon, and after all those leaks and rumors that left us haze, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has come up with full force to tackle the challenge that the mid-budget segment pose these days. The smartphone has been launched in two variants that come with 64GB and 128GB storage options, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD. They are priced at 1699 RMB (roughly Rs 15,953) and 1999 RMB (roughly Rs 18,765) respectively.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has faced a complete overhaul from its previous version but it still comes with the 6.44-inch 1080p display that still is the biggest USP for this phablet. Other than that, Xiaomi has infused everything that they should have into the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 and man, it seems like we are soon going to have another sub-Rs 20,000 smartphone king in India.
Xiaomi claims to have sold over three million units of the original Mi Max, however, during those days, the smartphone also faced a tough competition from the offerings of Huawei, Vivo, and Oppo who rose up with their competitively priced smartphones and strong offline distribution base. But this time, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has been launched with an intention of letting the rivals know its exclusiveness and let’s see what the smartphone has to offer and whether it will be able to do the intended.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 belongs to a selected niche of super-sized smartphones that attract buyers who consume considerable amount of multimedia, but don’t have the pockets for tablets, that in many cases lack voice calling.
However, as per earlier rumors, we were also expecting a 6GB RAM variant but for now, we are happy with the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 and are eagerly waiting for its Indian launch.
