Xiaomi Mi 6: Key Features Leaked Before Wednesday’s Launch

Xiaomi Mi 6 has been the most anticipated smartphone from any Chinese manufacturer ever and it’s been a year since we have been witnessing some of the major leaks and rumors about the device.

Xiaomi Mi 6, touted as the Samsung Galaxy S8 killer by many, is finally set to have a touchdown in Beijing on 19th April and now, another leak has surfaced over the Internet suggested that the smartphone will come with 6GB of RAM and a dual rear camera.

Xiaomi has created enough buzz for its next flagship Mi 6 through its teaser and the final one (expectedly) clearly hints towards 6GB of RAM. Earlier, a teaser also suggested a dual camera setup at the rear and now a picture has surfaced on the internet featuring Xiaomi Mi 6’s back cover that is enough to prove that.

Other than that, a Snapdragon 835 Chipset, which is currently seen in Samsung Galaxy S8, is almost certain and the SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM and Adreno 540 GPU, will definitely be the new benchmark setter for a long time, beating Apple iPhone 7 Plus easily. Interestingly, when Mi 5 was launched, last year, it too topped the benchmarks.

As for now, we expect Xiaomi Mi 6 to run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, feature a 5.1-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixel) 2k display, 64GB or 128GB of inbuilt storage, a 12MP rear camera with 4K video recording support and an 8MP front snapper capable of 4K recording as well.

Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, on the other hand, could feature a Quad HD 2K OLED display with dual curved edges as well as dual rear camera setup. Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 is expected to support both the smartphones and a 4000mAh battery is certain the both Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus, as well.

Other expected features include a 3.5 mm headphone jack, IP67 or IP68 rating (water and dust resistant) and Type-C USB port.

Overall, Xiaomi Mi 6 will be a good looking smartphone that will try to imitate iPhone 7 with a hint of OnePlus 3T as well. However, these aren’t official images of the next Xiaomi flagship but we now have a fair idea of what to expect on 19th April.
