The year 2018 has already seen a plethora of mid-range premium smartphones being launched and Vivo Z1 is the latest entrant to the list which comes with a huge display having 19:9 display meaning that there is also a notch on top of the display. For the unknown, Vivo will soon be launching the Vivo X21 with an under-display fingerprint scanner but meanwhile the Chinese smartphone maker is looking to continue the hype around its smartphones, with the Vivo Z1.
The Vivo Z1 is the first smartphone in Vivo’s new budget Z-series lineup which focuses on the mid-range market and comes with a 6.26-inch Full-Screen display offering a screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels, a trendy notch on top and 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the Vivo Z1 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE processor, which is the same chipset present inside the Vivo X21 and X21 UD.

The Vivo Z1 will be made available in Porcelain Glaze Black, Sapphire Blue and Hyun Screen Red colour variants. The new Vivo smartphone is currently available for pre-orders through JD.com and will be officially going on sale starting from June 4 in China. The Vivo Z1 is a mid range smartphone and comes with a price of CNY 1,798 that roughly translates to Rs 19,200.
As for its availability in India, Vivo is already launching its next flagship, the Vivo X21 and X21 UD, in India, which essentially comes with almost the same processing power. However, when it comes to multimedia consumption, the Vivo Z1 could easily be priced against the upcoming Moto G6 Plus and the Redmi Note 5 Pro, if launched in India.
