Swipe Elite 4G Review: The Best At This Price

After launching the Swipe Elite VR, the homegrown startup has yet again come up with a full house and this time, they are targeting the entry level segment with their Swipe Elite 4G. We have seen several launches in this particular segment but none of them have been able to make their mark or become as successful as their bigger counterparts in the Rs 5,000-7,000 segment.

However, with Swipe Elite 4G, all this might be changed as what we see here is an almost- perfect package at just Rs Rs 3,999. It has 4G support, a 5-inch display and when it comes to looks, Swipe Elite 4G comes with a matte finished back.

What’s more? Well, Swipe Elite 4G also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection but what else does it come filled with in the bag of segment firsts? Let’s see.

Swipe Elite 4G Specifications

  • 5-inch HD (854×480) FWVGA IPS Display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, offering 294 ppi.
  • 1.3 GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex Processor coupled with Mali-400MP GPU.
  • 1GB of RAM and 8GB of Internal Storage, Expandable up to 64GB via MicroSD.
  • Android 6.0 (Marshmallow).
  • 8MP rear camera with PDAF and LED Flash.
  • 5MP rear camera with fixed focus for selfies.
  • 2500mAh battery with no fast charging which can give 11 hours of talk time and 100 hours of standby time.
  • Dual SIM (Micro+Mini), 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB port and FM Radio.
  • Swipe Elite 4G Measures 145.2 x 73 x 9.6 mm and Weighs around 147 grams.
  • Color Options: Black, grey and Gold color variants.

All these specifications might look a tad bit on the less impressive side but that is not what Swipe Elite 4G is all about. It’s about giving a boost to digital India and providing the best for the least amount of money.

Yes, the Swipe Elite 4G doesn’t come with a fingerprint scanner neither features Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box but hardware like a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage coupled with an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front unit make Swipe Elite 4G a hard to replicate smartphone at just Rs 3,999.

Moreover, the 5-Inch display is the best we have seen in the entry level segment and the matte finish at the back just simply ups the ante.

Swipe Mobiles is an Indian smartphone manufacturer and by the looks of it, they are on the way of demolishing the dominance of Chinese players in the market.

Mr. Shripal Gandhi, founder & CEO of Swipe, during the launch of Swipe Elite 4G, said, “India is fast migrating towards 4G as the cost of data is becoming affordable. The country will be truly empowered only when every common man will be able to avail the benefit of the revolution which is under way in the field of mobile communications. With the Indian government pushing the use of smartphones for financial transactions as well as other associated benefits, not having a smartphone is not a choice anymore.” So True!!
