The Galaxy M30s is relatively large, but not clunky as you might expect in terms of battery capacity. The Back and the edges are covered with a smooth plastic. The workmanship is neat, but there is no chance of confusing the M30s with a premium cell phones such as the Galaxy S10. Ultimately, the M30s is more than the looks.
The Galaxy M30s has an OLED display in contrast to the LCD screen of the Galaxy M20. A huge improvement, as OLED displays have stronger contrast and better black levels. The sharpness is guaranteed with 2340×1080 pixels. With dimensions of 159×75.1 mm, it’s almost bezel less. In the drop-shaped notch is the front camera.
The triple camera at the back consists of a 48 MP camera, an 8 MP wide angle camera and a 5 MP camera for depth of field effects. In daylight, the photo quality is good, but we can’t say the same in the dark. M30s records videos at the maximum of 3840×2160 pixels. The front camera is just 16 MP, so let’s not expect a lot from it .
There are two variants in Samsung Galaxy M30s. The first one is 4GB RAM + 64 GB Internal memory and the other one is 6 GB RAM + 128GB Internal Memory. The internal memory can be expanded with a microSD card. The microSD card works even if you operate the M30s in dual SIM mode with two SIM cards as the sim tray has separate slots for all the cards. This is definitely more practical than the common hybrid sim tray.
The Samsung Galaxy M30s has an extremely large, 6,000 mAh battery. Nevertheless, the phone is 9 mm in thickness and is not bulky. Compared to the Galaxy M20, that’s another 1,000 mAH more and the weight only increased by 1 gram to 188 grams. The M30s can be recharged very quickly with 15 watts charger if the battery runs out.
A second generation Exynos 9611 does the job perfectly. Ambitious gamers might need to compromise on computer-intensive games.
In some categories, the M30s had some points deducted. In poor lighting, photos are noisy. The back is scratch-sensitive and the device is not waterproof. There are no headphones included and wireless charging is not possible. Not all points are relevant for everyone but yet they need to be told to help you with your purchase.
