OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition has been launched in India as the company’s first smartphone to feature 10GB of RAM and along with that the more premium version of the OnePlus 6T comes with Warp Charge 30W (5V – 6A) fast charging support which is claimed to charge the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition battery to upto 50 percent in just 20 minutes. Similarly, Vivo has launched a more premium version of the Nex, which is dubbed as the Vivo Nex Dual and while its predecessor came with a pop-up camera, the Vivo Nex Dual is the company’s first smartphone to come with dual displays.

Both the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition and Vivo Nex Dual have been launched in the same price segment and while the former is available in the Indian market, the latter is yet to be announced in the country. Reports have highlighted that the Vivo Nex Dual will be launched in India early next year and here we take a look at how different and how special these two smartphones are for their respective makers.

Before dwelling into further details, let’s talk about the key highlights of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition and Vivo Nex Dual. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is built out of the same carbon fiber which can be seen in McLaren cars while it has also become the company’s first smartphone to feature 10GB of RAM. There is an important upgrade which is said to be inspired by speed that McLaren cars are known for and that is the super fast 30W Warp Charge. While it could easily be considered as the answer to the Super VOOC charging by Oppo, the super fast 30W Warp Charge is rated to offer upto 50 percent in just 20 minutes.

Moreover, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition comes with some serious management technology integration in form of Integrated Circuits for the charger as well as the smartphone, itself. There is also an integrated software in the smartphone for power management. When it comes to the design theme, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition also features a Papaya Orange finish around the bottom edge of the smartphone and could be seen fading into the black base as it comes up. There is also a pattern beneath the rear glass covering which is inspired by McLaren’s renowned carbon fiber.

But that’s not it. When it comes to the box contents, there is a Papaya Orange braided cord cable along with the iconic Speedmark which has been recreated for the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition by the automaker and uses F1 AA grade carbon fiber present in the McLaren MCL33 2018 Formula 1 car. There is also a McLaren logo.

This brings us to the Vivo Nex Dual. The smartphone has its own share of wow factors and for starters, it also features 10GB of RAM under the hood along with 22.5W fast charging support. Moreover, the Vivo Nex Dual is the company’s first device to come with dual displays as it includes a 6.39-inch Full HD+ (2340×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio, 91.63 per cent screen-to-body ratio, DCI-P3 color gamut at the front, and a secondary 5.49-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display at the rear. On the other hand, the smartphone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass protection on both sides.
