Moto C Plus Launched in India At Rs 6,999: Specs, Review And Competition

Moto C Plus has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 6,999 and as the price suggests it is another mid-ranger with specifications of necessities and since it is a Motorola smartphone, Moto C Plus comes with some added features.

After launching the non-plus variant that comes with 1.1GHz MediaTek processor, 1GB RAM, 854×480 pixels display and 5MP rear camera, Motorola isn’t ready to slow down and have launched the Moto C Plus. Although most of the specifications look similar in both the smartphones, when it comes to Moto C Plus, you get a better camera, HD display, and more RAM at a price of Rs 6,999.

But will those 1000 bucks make a difference when you have to choose your ultimate buy, considering you also have an option of Xiaomi Redmi 4A and Xiaomi Redmi 4? Let’s see.

Moto C Plus Specifications

  • 5-inch IPS HD (1280×720) display with 294 pixels per inch
  • 64-bit 1.3 GHz Quad core Mediatek MT6737 processor with Mali T720 GPU
  • 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD
  • Android 7.0 Nougat Out Of The Box
  • 8MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, 71-degree field of view, auto-focus, digital zoom and LED flash
  • 2MP with fixed focus and LED flash
  • 4,000mAh removable battery with quick charge support
  • 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM (nano+nano) Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack and FM Radio

With all these specifications and a price tag of Rs 6,999, Moto C Plus is here to take on Xiaomi Redmi 4A and Redmi 4, which by all means are the benchmarks in this segment. With the non-plus variant, Lenovo-owned Motorola just teased their capabilities in the budget segment but with Moto C Plus they are back to take on the competition.

However, when it comes to Moto C vs Moto C Plus, those extra Rs 1,000 are worth going for the recent addition to the lineup as you get almost double the battery backup, HD display, same plastic yet premium built and better camera. Fingerprint scanner is not available on both these smartphones and they run on stock Android Nougat.

But there is a catch, while Moto C is available through both offline as well as online modes, Moto C Plus has been made a Flipkart exclusive, however, that shouldn’t bother the users as in return of waiting in online sales and spending just Rs 1000 extra, they get a better smartphone in Moto C Plus, by all means.

Now coming to the clash of clans, Xiaomi and Motorola have been ruling the sub-Rs 10,000 category in India and somehow, despite the latter coming up with a great multimedia package, Xiaomi has bettered the competition with an all-rounded package, same is the case with Xiaomi Redmi 4A (Rs 5,999) and Xiaomi Redmi 4 (Rs 6,999).

These two smartphones come with a Snapdragon Unit, bigger cameras, and better performance potentials. If you are looking for a non- Xiaomi smartphone, go for the Moto C Plus but f that is not the case, Redmi 4A and Xiaomi Redmi 4 should definitely be considered as your ultimate buy.
