LG Stylo 4 has been launched by the South Korean electronics maker as another affordable offering targeted towards buyers looking for a good package for multimedia consumption but without shelling much from their pocket. For the unknown, the LG Stylo 4 was leaked in renders last week and the final product has stayed true to the rumors, which essentially means that the LG Stylo 4 is indeed one of the most feature rich offerings in this segment.
LG Stylo 4, as the name itself suggests, comes with the Stylus Pen support which is similar to its predecessors. That being said, the electronics giant has been launching back to back devices around the globe including, a host of entry-level as well as mid-range smartphones, and after the LG K30, the Stylo 4 is the latest addition to the list. However, it should be noted that the LG Stylo 4 is almost similar to the LG Q Stylus, which is still available in the market, but the Stylo 4 comes with more RAM and Band 71 support.
The LG Stylo 4 comes with a unimetal body design along with support for Stylus Pen while the company has added some software tricks into the mix such as Screen off Memo that allows a user to take notes even if the screen is locked. With the LG Stylo 4, users can also create GIFs, with a feature called GIF Capture, using the Stylus. The handset also comes with NFC support and ‘Q lens’ which is LG’s answer to the recently launched Google lens.
The LG Stylo 4 comes with a 6.2-inch full-HD+ FullVision (1080×2160 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 450 SoC which is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. The LG Stylo 4 runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with LG UX on top and comes with DTS:X Surround Sound technology.
Coming to the cameras, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF), f/2.0 aperture and LED flash while on the front, there is a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a wide-angle lens on top. The LG Stylo 4 also has Q lens integration which offers users suggestions and information. Moreover, there is the Real Moment technology which is said to help users in easily sharing their edits as well as ideas just by writing over an already captured image.
For connectivity, the smartphone comes with hybrid Dual SIM support, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi, NFC, USB Type-C support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. One of the biggest highlights of the LG Stylo 4 is the Stylus Pen which comes with Pen Pop 2.1 technology and is capable of working with a suite of LG UX features, including the ‘Screen off Memo’ option. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner which is housed right below the rear camera module while the handset is backed by a 3300mAh battery which doesn’t come with fast charging support.
