LG Q6, LG Q6+ and LG Qa have been unveiled by the company and while the price tag of these smartphones has not been announced yet, they will be priced competitively on the mid-budget segment. Considering the bezel-less design and Full Version displays LG Q6, LG Q6+ and LG Qa offer, these three smartphones are going to enter an already competitive segment and might even rise through the ranks.
LG Q6, LG Q6+ and LG Qa follows an unsaid trend that has existed in the mid-range segment for quite a while now i.e. come with something new when it is least expected and take the competition with the element of surprise. All the players in this segment have been focusing on giving class leading performance specs as well as practically premium camera unit but design and display are two things where LG Q6 Series is going to take the first movers’ advantage and it will be interesting to see how the competition reacts to this new challenge.
The whole LG Q6 Series is an attempt by the company to offer some of the flagship features in the mid-budget segment where the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Lenovo Z2 Plus and Moto G5 Plus rules.
However, with bezel-less design and Full Version displays, LG Q6, LG Q6+ and LG Qa will have an upper hand over the competition but the omission of a fingerprint scanner and a 3000mAh battery, which should have been bigger, might end up holding it back in this ever so competitive segment.
Moreover, if the LG Q6+, which has the best specification in the series, is priced anything above the Rs 15000-mark, the whole LG Q6 Series will end up being a failed attempt. On the flipside, LG Q6, LG Q6+ and LG Qa are some of the well-rounded mid-rangers and as mentioned, the success now depends on the price tag.
One thing that should be noted here is the fact that these smartphones are not intended towards the performance-seeking users rather, they will focus on the consumer base which seeks exceptional multimedia experience without ruling out the under-the-hood capabilities.
The LG Q6+ will be available in Astro Black, Marine Blue and Ice Platinum color variants while the Q6 will be offered in Astro Black, Ice Platinum, Terra Gold and Mystic White colors. The 2GB/16GB Q6a, on the other hand, will come in Astro Black, Ice Platinum and Terra Gold options.
The LG Q6 Series will be up for sale in key Asian markets from August, which might include India as well.
