Facebook always come with a new exciting feature which keeps it the best social platform. Now the news is that they are coming with the more reaction buttons other than Like and Comment. How cool will that be!! Bloomberg reports that the chief product officer of the company, Mr. Chris Cox has confirmed that some new cool reaction buttons will be added on Facebook soon and the users will be able to express their feelings more certainly on a particular post.
The social networking site has already announced last year that they are testing a set of five emojis which includes “sad,” “angry”, “wow”, “haha” and “love.” The facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has already cleared that the company want its users to be more expressive. If the users don’t want to like the post they can hit the other reaction buttons.
Chris Cox wrote on a post, “As you can see, it’s not a ‘dislike’ button though we hope it addresses the spirit of this request more broadly. We studied which comments and reactions are most commonly and universally expressed across Facebook, then worked to design an experience around them that was elegant and fun.”
The reactions were tested in Spain and Ireland Last October and the feature works by pressing on the mobile screens a bit long, as soon as you will long-press on mobile the set of reaction emojis will appear and you can select the reaction of your choice. Initially, Facebook was planning to launch 6 new emojis but the sixth emoji “Yay!” wasn’t universally understood, so they dropped the Yay!
Though the Facebook didn’t mention a specific date for the launch of these interesting 5 emojis but they did mention that it will happen “In the next few weeks”. These emojis will be introduced to the Facebook users across the globe.
