New Delhi: Indian wrestler, The Great Khali, who rose to stardom with WWE, has been gravely injured at a sporting event on Wednesday night.
The Haryana based wrestler formerly known as Dalip Singh Rana, suffered a severe head injury during the Continental Wrestling Entertainment show –‘The Great Khali Returns’ at Haldwani.
He has been admitted to hospital after being hit by chairs by foreign wrestlers – Brody Steel and Mike Knox.

Khali received seven stitches on head and doctors suspect that he has suffered injuries on chest also, however, the nature of injury is yet to known.
He was airlifted today morning to a specialty hospital in Dehradun.
“Khali has been under observation and tests are being conducted on him to know whether he has suffered injuries to his chest as well,” said one of the organizers of the sporting event.
Few days ago, Khali was in the news for featuring in Ambuja Cement advertisement. The hilarious yet creative ad showed the troubles faced by him due to his huge body build up.
This time, however, the reason of him grabbing limelight is unfortunate. We hope for his speedy recovery.
