One of India’s revered production houses, also responsible for giving such widely acclaimed hits as Mary Kom and Kahaani, Mithali Dorai Raj shall be on the big screen in the coming days. Must it be said, one can hardly wait to see what will hopefully be an interesting tale, as inspiring as the soft-speaking Rumi-reader.

It must also be said that it isn’t always that cinemaholics and cricket-lovers unite, unless the subjects are gripping as Tendulkar and Dhoni- avid subjects of previous biopics made on Indian Cricketing legends. With Mithali Raj’s life now to be transformed onto the film canvass, one can only expect the film to impact and appeal to a larger lot of the country that have to this day, sadly remained unaware about this giant of Indian Cricket.

Whether with her astute leadership of the team- a unit that comprises of talents of the class of Jhulan Goswami, Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Ekta Bisht and many other talented names- or for her dignified conduct- it will be interesting to note further developments on Mithali Raj’s biopic.
