Herschelle Gibbs, the South African opening batsman turns 41 today and it is no secret that he has been one of the most controversial batsmen but other than being indulged in the controversies, Herschelle Gibbs has always been an aggressive roar on the cricket ground. Fondly known as Scooter among his teammates he has shown an extraordinary display of an opening batsman in the game of cricket.

Herschelle Gibbs owns a number of flamboyant performances to his name but his performance in 2007 World Cup at St. Kitts, Basseterre is unbeatable. He smashed 6 sixes in one over and he was the first batsman to hit six sixes in an over in an ODI (One Day International). With that innings, he became the third person in the world to do so but the first one to score 6 sixes in an international match. With his magnificent display of striking shots, he became one of the most remarkable and finest cricketers of all time.
