IPL 2017, just like all the previous edition, is one of the most anticipated league in India and since it is Indian Premier League’s 10th anniversary, IPL 2017 is even more special for cricket fans all over the world.
The cash-laden tournament has attracted fans from all over the world, thanks to the inclusion of foreign players, and companies have battled throughout all these years to grab the rights of Indian Premier League. From Pepsi to Vivo, every other biggie wants to sponsor this league, but there are only a handful that have managed to do so.
Life is all about finding another way and that’s what Twitter has done. Celebrating the 10th edition of Indian Premier League, the social media giant has introduced Emojis of 30 of the league’s biggest superstars including Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Brendon McCullum, Glenn Maxwell among others.
This is the first time that Twitter has introduced emojis for individuals in Indian and fans can unlock them throughout IPL 2017.

BCCI CEO Rahul Johri said, “The IPL has always been for the fans, with the fans, by the fans. From the Twitter Mirror to the IPL #calendar, IPL timeline to real-time videos, we have innovated every season to bring the IPL closer to our fans in partnership with Twitter. These special player Twitter emojis are a celebration of our superstars who light up the league and the love we have received from fans on Twitter. We would like to dedicate this launch to them and can’t wait to see the conversation that unfolds this season”.
Tweeting an IPL player emoji is really simple. Fans can Tweet using the particular player’s designated hashtag (#Yuvi for Yuvraj Singh) and an emoji version of the player will automatically appear after it, within the Tweet.
