Last Night’s match at Eden Gardens can be summed as in one of the worst performances ever given in IPL’s 10-year-old history. Royal Challenger Bangalore with one of the most celebrated and amazing batsmen in the world, went downhill and that too, the hard way. However, at a time when everyone is criticising RCB for one of their worst performances, we need to admire KKR’s bowling too. Kolkata Knight Riders made a total of 131 and knowing RCB, this wasn’t a huge target for them to chase, and even KKR believed so. However, the entire team failed to do anything major during the chase and not even a single player made runs in double digits. Nathan Coulter-Nile was the man of the match last night, for his 3-21. Many are also congratulating Gautam Gambhir for his decision to hold back his spinners and letting fast bowlers have their way. Last night’s win, takes KKR to the second spot in the points table and now they will go face to face with Rising Pune Superstars on 26th April, whereas, RCB will go back to their home ground and face Sunrisers Hyderabad, followed by Gujarat Lions.
