India Hammered Zimbabwe By 10 Wickets In 2nd T20I & Levelled The Series With 1-1

India hammered Zimbabwe by 10 wickets in the 2nd T20 International to keep their hopes alive in 3 match series at the Harare Sports Club.

Chasing a low scoring target of only 100 runs, openers Mandeep Singh (52*) and Lokesh Rahul (47*) led the Indian team a 10 wicket with 35 balls to spare. This is Indian team’s first 10-wicket win in T20 format.  

Zimbabwean team collapsed on their lowest T20I score at Harare after a blazing bowling spell from left-arm debutant pacer Barinder Sran kept under control them to 99/9 in their 20 overs.

Both openers Rahul and Mandeep took only 40 balls for a match winning innings.

Indian debutant was adequately backed by fellow pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who also bowled brilliantly and took 3 wickets to crush the backbone of hosts after Zimbabwe elected to bat first.

Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhawal Kulkarni took one wicket each.

Sran was awarded as Man of the Match for his thrilling bowling (4-10) effort. This was the best bowling spell by an Indian bowler on debut.

With this superb win, Indian team will keep their hopes alive in series after levelling 3 match T20 series at 1-1.

Now, final T20I  on June 22 will decide the series winner.

I hope that Indian team will keep their good form till final match and seal the series with 2-1.
