The ranking of MRF Tyres ICC T20I batsmen is revealed and India’s Virat Kohli has proudly defended his number-one position. The India’s top-order batsman leads Australia’s Aaron Finch by 24 points as he saved the top most position of the list for himself. Aaron Finch secured the second rank with 803 points. Virat had entered the home competition with 889 points.
Joe Root the player of England team who scored 27 runs not out in the semi-final and 54 runs in final, has broken into the list of the top five for the first time in his cricket career. Root’s applauding performance in the tournament now put him on the fourth position in the list.
Marlon Samuels of West Indies who has also been awarded as the player of the final made it to the Top 20 of the list. Samuel holds the 18th position on the list. Samuels scored 8 runs in the semi-finals and he played an extraordinary innings of 85 runs in the final which lead West Indies to win the T20 World Cup 2016.
Jos Buttler is also another batsman from team England who has improved his ranking. He moved his place from 27 to 24th spot on the batting list. The other Batsmen who improved their batting and moved their places up in the list are Lendl Simmons of the West Indies (32nd, up by 17 places), New Zealand’s Colin Munro (37th, up by 18 places), Johnson Charles of the West Indies (50th, up by 14 places) and England’s Jason Roy (62nd, up by 33 places).

In the list of MRF Tyres ICC Player Ranking for T20I Bowlers India’s R.Ashwin grabbed the third position where West Indies’ Samuel Badree scored the first position on the list. Imran Tahir of South Africa is on the second position 50 points behind.
Ashish Nehra and Jasprit Bumrah of India have achieved the best ranking of their career. Bumrah has jumped six places up and is in the seventh position where Nehra is now on 11th position.
Bowlers who made an impact in the recent rankings includes the name of England’s Chris Jordan (30th, up by 19 places), Adil Rashid of England (51st, up by 29 places) and Andre Russell of the West Indies (58th, up by 18 places)

Surprisingly the list of the top five all-rounder’s in the latest list has not been changed. The top most position is held by retired Shane Watson. On the second position Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh and for the third position Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi. The fourth and fifth positions are scored by Australia’s Glenn Maxwell and West Indies’ Marlon Samuels.
