If you are a single mum’s son or daughter, who she has raised with all her heart and soul, with her expectations and remorse, with all her hopes and power, then you very well understand the struggles that a single-mother goes through. There are mothers out there who have been the only parent of a kid with big dreams and creativity, who need to be appreciated and more than that, they need to be accepted. Because they are no aliens to us, single-mothers do anything in their power to make a safe and successful career for their kids and it’s high-time that our society stops treating it like a bizarre fact.
This artist misspelt ‘Father’ at a spelling bee competition for all the right and beautiful reasons, and he presented his story through the medium of spoken word poetry which is irrepressible in its own way. He misspelt ‘Father’ as ‘Mother’ and decided to explain how he was within every parameter of being right.
