Clickbaits are the major things on which many websites on the Internet are working today. An idea which is said to be first brought in by, a now-popular website, Buzzfeed, which is quite popular around the world, as of today.
The main reason behind Clickbaits is the sheer curiosity that it generates among the people. While it gives away the major part of a story, it also holds back the most crucial part of the story, which is, at times, not as crucial as a clickbait makes it.
However, there’s a bookstore and bar in Texas – The Wild Detectives – that is pulling a twist on clickbaits for their readers. They have changed Clickbaits to Litbaits, this has been done to create curiosity among people into reading more books, especially classic novels. They have been doing it for a long time.
Last year they started sharing posts with clickbait titles, which would take the person (who clicks on them) to a copyright-free edition of a book. This includes a whole lot of classic novels that are not too popular among the youth of today. However, with clickbaits like these, a reader gets enticed to know about the entire story.
