Our life is so persistent towards such things that can please others that we forget the importance of our own happiness. The strangest part of our life is, we all want to catch the butterfly of happiness, however, never put enough effort to build the beautiful garden that can lure that butterfly in our life.
Being happy isn’t just a state, it’s the sweet fruit of the seed called – little things we do for ourselves. Ask yourself, have you ever been utterly happy when you earned an extra bonus or won a game or topped in class or other such materialistic endeavors where others came and appreciated you? All these things made you joyous and we can bet that cheerful feeling has never lasted enough to make you feel content. So what are the things that make you happy in life?
When you work on something to gain the appreciation of others you don’t put your heart in it and most of all, you are more likely to fail. Don’t look for approval, you simply can’t please everyone in life. In fact, put effort into something that you truly love and excel in it.
