How To Become A Better Person: Realities You Need To Accept

This World can be a harsh and brutal place at times and we like to tackle this problem with sugar-coated lies that gives us a short-term satisfaction which helps us believe we are worth something. But the fact is, whether someone agrees or not, we have been ignoring the harsh realities of life and even though we are technically advance, are travelling back in time to seek the real meaning of life, we have no clue about what’s going on in this world and what’s our actual job on this planet.

We have been trying to figure out how to become a better person but things aren’t going exactly the way we planned, but the fact is, rather than finding solace in lies, we need to watch our reflection in the mirror of brutal truth as this is what will make us get up and go on.

However, we are all a bit stereotype when it comes to acceptance of truth because nothing hurts us more than the truth, but the more open we are towards seeing things for what they really are, the faster we will mature and the better humans we will become.

Here are 6 brutal truths and are the perfect solution of ‘How To Become A Better Person?’.

1. Your Actions Define You, Not Your Thoughts

You can sit for a whole day conceptualizing the good you can do to your life but unless and until you implement your thoughts, nothing’s going to change. People will forget what your thoughts because they have their own but your work will remain in this materialistic world.

2. You Can’t Please Everyone

In this harsh world, we like to be the center of attraction in everything as this makes us feel good and believe that we are worth something but doing what pleases everybody will cost you your own life and the moment someone stands up and criticize your boringness and will tell you to be more interesting.

If there is someone whose judgment you should listen, It’s You.

3. Everyone Is A Bit Selfish

Nobody’s going to stand up for you if you don’t stand up for yourself. If you have ever heard someone saying ‘you can’t love someone else if you don’t love yourself’, that person was telling you the truth. It is dumb to consider ‘Everyone’ selfless in this 21st century and you need to have a control over your life as well as the people around you.
Ownership of who you are can be empowering and if people see you care about yourself, they will start caring for you.

4. Expectations Always Hurt

You can expect whatever you want to from only one person, and it is – YOU!

As harsh this world is, the people in it have become even more realistic. Life has become a race of survival and everybody seeks his/her own good. Moreover, both your life and the people around you are filled with unrealistic expectations. But if you desire something, make sure of working hard enough to turn it into a reality all by yourself. Never ever expect anything out of someone.

5. Don’t Make Excuses, There Will Always Be Some Restrictions

You can either spend your entire life believing that you don’t have enough to work towards something you desire and it is true in every sense. But every person in this world has at least one excuse to not pursuing his/her dream.

However, the bitter truth is, the difference between successful people who get what they want and those who don’t, is the fact that the latter ignore their excuses and find a way around their limitations, rather than just bitching about them.

6. Your Life Will Never Be Perfect

It doesn’t matter if you work in a supermarket or one of the biggest firms in this world, you will always run into problems and that’s life, you are no exception. For every action, there is a reaction. If you get your dream job, your family time might have to sacrifice. If you get a new girlfriend or the love of your life, some of your social life might go on hold. If you want to be healthy, fried food is what you have to stay away from.

Everything comes at a cost of something and the life is full of ups and downs. Rather than cribbing about the imperfections, you need to accept all the imperfections and love what life has given you.

These were some of the bitter truths of life, which you need to accept and these lessons are the perfect answer of How To Become A Better Person?

Understanding these life facts will help you live a better and happier life, at least a better one than your current life.
