Try These Quick And Simple DIYs For Reducing Pigmentation And Dark Spots

Pigmentation, blackheads, dark spots and blemishes – now these are some of the terrifying words for any women out there. While we all should be proud of who and what we are, deep down we all want that clear and even skin. Be it dark, fair or wheatish, a clear skin is a dream that everyone wants to turn into reality. However, due to the kind of hectic and stressful lifestyle that we all are living, this dreams might remain just dreams.

We all are living a pressure-filled and stressful life, be a student or a mother or a businesswoman, everyone goes through a different kind of stress, which ultimately starts reflecting on their skin. We decided to bring down some Do It Yourself (DIY) easy methods that you can do for a spot and blemish free skin. All the things that you would be needing in order to execute these DIYs are easily available and might just be in your kitchen, which is always a nice thing. You won’t have to shed some thousand bucks in the parlour, once you try these at-home concoctions.

1. Turmeric

So when you mum told you about the endless benefits of turmeric, she wasn’t joking you know. Turmeric is an excellent ingredient to cure your pigmentation problem.

Mix equal parts (one teaspoon) of turmeric powder and lemon juice water, apply it on affected area and let it sit for almost 20 minutes. Wash it with regular water and you’ll be able to see instant result. For much better results, try it every other day.

2. Papaya

Papaya is another food item which can be eaten as well as applied for a clear and glowing skin. Papaya contains papain which has great exfoliating properties that work wonders for reducing skin pigmentation.

Add one tablespoon of honey and milk to the pulp of a papaya and mix it well till it turns into a smooth paste. After that apply it to the affected areas and let it sit for almost 30 minutes and then wash it with lukewarm water.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar

Experts have been raving about the benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar for the longest time, it’s great for stomach, digestion, hair and definitely for your skin. It is a great product for reducing dark spots and clearing up the patchy skin. However, because it’s vinegar at the end of the day, don’t go with the excess usage of the product.

Add equal parts of water and apple cider vinegar and rinse the affected areas with it. Leave it for 3-4 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water.

4. Cocoa Butter

Apart from smelling incredibly yummy, cocoa butter is also known to be an amazing item that one should incorporate in their skin care routine. It hydrates, moisturises and soothes your skin and also protects it from harmful effects of the sun.

Apply cocoa butter to the affected areas and massage it deep into the skin which would help in improving blood circulation and provides you instant freshness.

5. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera can easily be found in anyone’s garden as it’s too beautiful and incredibly full of benefits to not use. Aloe Vera helps you in removing unwanted tan and pigmentation as well as helps in generating new skin cells in the body.

Before going to bed, apply aloe vera to the affected areas and leave it overnight. Rinse with regular water in the morning and keep on repeating every night for best and optimum results.
