Heck, the only good thing about periods is the affirmation that you’re not pregnant.

With this blessing in disguise, comes a lot of problems and issues that one has to go through in order to survive another month of their existence. However, there are some hard and fast rules of Periods. There are some things that should absolutely be avoided on the first day of your period because, well just trust us, avoiding these things are going to make your period life a bit easier. And, who doesn’t dream of the less dreadful first day of a period which is usually filled with painful cramps, a ton of mood swings and body pain.

1. Sneezing

Who doesn’t hate the feeling that your body generates when you sneeze while being on your periods, especially on the first day, well, I do. And, try your hardest avoid any such situation that can lead to a sneeze which later on leads to a shit ton of blood altogether.

2. Wearing White

Even though white is considered to be a peaceful and soothing colour, however, white is your biggest enemy, when you’re on your periods. No one wants to be the tell tale of bloody crotch at school or workplace.

3. Going To Supermarket

Even though shopping takes your mind off the painful thing in your life, that is the period, but a supermarket is basically the last place you want to be on your first day. You wanna know why? Well, because that place has a whole lot of comforting thing that is downright disgusting for your diet plan.

4. Donating Blood

You’re already giving out a whole lot of blood, don’t go too far with this.

5. Forgetting You’re On Your Period.

Although Period never lets you forget about its existence, there are times when you completely forget about the downright blood fall and moreover, go without spare pieces of equipment to control it. No one wants to be in that moment.

6. Getting A Wax

You’re already living a painful life at this moment, don’t add things up to it. Try to limit as much pain as possible.

7. Texting Your Ex

Yes, you’re emotionally vulnerable. Yes, you need someone to vent your feelings on. No, that fucker doesn’t deserve to be back in your life. In fact, delete his number right now.

There’s nothing more fascinating than sex when you’re on your period, however, getting just any guy will not do the work for you. Getting Laid is good, but getting laid to prove something is bad.

The world is already gloomy, so save yourself from practically wasting your time in bed all day. Try the living room couch, that’s a much better option.

10. Having A Look Back On Your Social Media Memories

Save yourself from the trauma. You’re already high on emotion which is why you should absolutely in no case, come face-to-face with your 10th standard haircut.

11. Watching News

Let’s face the truth, shit is always going down in the world according to news, which is definitely not a good thing to see when your life is going down.

12. Watching Sobbing Videos

Why? Why would you want to cry your balls out on the proposal and emotional videos?

This person alone has caused more people to cry their hearts out than actual heartbreak, which is why you should avoid him at all cost.

14. Eating Or Drinking Dairy

Another No-No during the first day of the period is to consume dairy products, in fact, one should avoid it on all 3-5 days of their periods. Get your necessary calcium intake through other substitutes like almond milk.

15. Going Trekking Or Camping

Again, why would you want to make your body go through a shit ton of dirt, dust, and sweat on a heating day?

16. Increasing Salt Intake

While bags of potato chips are your go-to on the first day of the period, according to experts, one should absolutely try to lower their salt intake. Salty foods make you bloat like anything, and no one wants that.
