You Should Absolutely Not Consume These 5 Foods At Night

Food is love. Food is life. Food is absolutely delicious and at the same time, one of the greatest things in life. However, everything has a time attached to it, and food too comes at a point where it can’t be consumed at a certain time, like most things in life.

Eating right is just not enough, eating right at the right time is what makes an entire equation much more practical and probable to turn one into a healthy human being.

Many doctors and nutrients have admitted that eating right before going to bed is something that everyone should avoid at all cost. Not only is this a recipe for bad sleeping schedule and gaining weight, it can also cause one some serious damage to your throat and esophagus. Along with this, with a not-so-great eating and sleeping schedule, one can also lead a life full of acid reflux, which occurs when digestive juices back up into the chest or throat and cause a burning sensation.

Apart from the right time to eat, right food is important too, which is why today we have rounded up a total of 5 foods that should be absolutely avoided at night. These foods can result in acid reflux and even in silent reflux which can simply make one’s life a less bearable mess than usual.

1. Soda

There’s nothing more acidic than soda at night, and one can blame it all on the frizziness of it. As per nutrients, soda is considered to be the most acidic food item than anything in nature. Isn’t that enough to steer clear away from it?

2. Nuts

One of the main components of reflux is fat and fat is fat, whether saturated or unsaturated. Which is why, even though nuts contain a much more healthy dose of unsaturated fats they can indeed be dangerous for consuming at night time.

3. Alcohol

Night time is best associated with alcohol, however, one should absolutely avoid it in all circumstances. It relaxes the valves that connect the stomach and esophagus. When this happens, your body is unable to keep food where it belongs.

4. Coffee

No matter how wide awake you want to be at night, it’s not at all healthy to consume coffee at night, and when you’re taking it, you’re basically asking the reflux to happen. Coffee is not only inherently acidic, but the caffeine also generates additional stomach acid. However, in utmost need, try to switch your usual dose of caffeine with decaf which generally has lower acid level than regulars.

5. Cheese

How many of us absolutely love anything and everything cheesy? Cheese can instantly level up any dish which is why we usually love to load it up in our food. However, do you know that feta and mozzarella have a high level of reflux which is why, at night time, these kinds of cheese should be alternate with swiss and parmesan? This means, no pizza at late night.
