For the longest possible time, we have been told that drinking coffee is adverse to one’s health. Moreover, we have been fed a carefully concocted diet based on common knowledge and myth. Some say that drinking coffee can lead to irreversible caffeine addiction.
And wait till you hear this.
Most of the individuals who turn into self-trained advisers and wisdom-givers suggest that having a lot of coffee can completely disrupt one’s sleep pattern.
There’ve been quite a few polarising debates on this last theory. But now, it seems that the long-standing debate whether drinking coffee can actually hurt one’s sleep or cripple the napping pattern has now finally been settled.
Truth be told, there doesn’t seem to be anything alarming in what a new study on coffee emanating from the US has found.
Coffee, with its jaw-dropping, appetizing, wondrous flavors may be among the most consumed beverage in the whole wide world- as the common statements suggest, from time to time- but it doesn’t go on to mean that excessive consumption can adversely impact one’s sleep, something none can go without.
So what’s the whole thing about, you might ask? Well, here’s the data that really matters.
US researchers from Florida Atlantic University and Harvard Medical School monitored 785 people for a total of 5,164 days and nights, recording how much caffeine, alcohol and nicotine they consumed.
They then compared it to sleep diaries and wrist sensors which recorded sleep duration, sleep efficiency and how quickly people woke up after drifting off.
In addition to the above, it’s only worthwhile to add that there definitely exist patterns or time intervals in the day where consuming coffee can prove more effective or beneficial for the body.
A leading English journal published in the UK had the following to share
The good news is that the best time to drink coffee is between 10 am and 12 pm – the time we all need it the most!
In fact, according to the researched facts published in this journal, an average person, anywhere can have up to (not at least) 4 cups of coffee a day and that won’t really cause any adverse problem. So what are you brewing next?
