Stiletto Crocs: Your Comfy & Trusted Crocs Are Getting A Makeover, All Thanks To This Balenciaga Collaboration

Crocs might not be everyone’s cup of tea, especially design-wise, however, no one can deny the fact that it is one of the comfiest pair of slippers in the market. In fact, it is worth every single penny that one shed on it, which is why it is has one of the most loyal fan clubs. Now, what if, you can get the comfort of a croc, along with the style of a stiletto? That’s exactly what the newest collaboration of Balenciaga and Crocs has resulted in – Stiletto Crocs – and it’s gathering mixed reactions from the people on Twitter. 

No matter how much you try, you would not be able to imagine the outcome that the brands have come out with. To put it simply, they’ve kept the basics right and simply put the two concepts together, taking fashion enthusiasts by storm. Ever since the first images dropped, Twitter people started being blunt about their thoughts on the concept. While some called it an item “THEY DON’T WANT”, some were rather intrigued by the concept.

The stiletto crocs concept is part of Balenciaga’s Spring 2022 collection and even though the fashion house has not revealed anything else about the collab, it might deliver the same results as in the past. 

Back in 2017, Crocs and Balenciaga had their first collaboration which resulted in an $850 worth pair of platform clogs which sparked a similar kind of reaction on the Internet, yet went on to be sold out even before they were officially released, as mentioned by NPR.

With all these collaborations underway, it is almost impossible to believe that at the start of their arrival, a very specific segment was drawn to these slippers and that too for particular activities. Now, in the recent past, the brand has done limited collections collabs with major celebs like Justin Bieber, Diplo, Post Malone and Bad Bunny. 

In fact, celebs have started donning them again and not as a comfortable shoe around the house, but rather as a fashion statement. One such example is Nicki Minaj who posted a glammed-up picture on her Instagram donning a pair of hot pink crocs, and soon the shoe sold out on some of the major sites it was available at.

Major fashion influencers have also ignited this fire by pairing their trusty crocs with cute charms to personalize them as per their own liking and drawing greater attention towards them.
