After Reshma Qureshi’s glorious walk on New York Fashion Week for designer Archana Kochhar, the 26-year-old Laxmi Agarwal is all set to walk at the upcoming London Fashion Week. The fashion week will be held from September 16 to 20.
Laxmi was just 15 years old when she was attacked by a 32-year old man because she rejected his marriage proposal. Now, she is the founder of an NGO that fights back for these horrendous crimes and is called Stop Acid Attacks. She has been a public figure for a long time now, which leds her to be the face of fashion brand Viva N Diva and in 2014 she was awarded the International Women of Courage Award for successfully leading a campaign against acid attacks. She was also commended by the First Lady, Michelle Obama, for the same.
On monday she walked at a charity event with another acid attack survivor, 24-year-old Adele Bellis from Suffolk in Uk. Laxmi has been accompanied to London by her supporting husband and her one and half year old daughter, Pihu.
