The 20s again is a crucial time where you work hard and party harder for the future. Work hard for a comfortable future and party harder for a fulfilled future. However, in the midst of all this working and partying, there are various decisions that one has to take of their lives, particularly for their future.
Each and every decision that we take today will have an impact on our future which is why we have to think and rethink all those important resolutions that you take today. And, this makes everything scary, however, the best way to cope up with these scary decisions if by listing them out and making a milestone out of it.
Now, everyone knows that one of the most important decisions of a 20-something old, as per the society, is marriage. But, our society needs to understand that there’s so much more to life than simply marrying someone. And we need to make some solid and viable milestones for ourselves that can be fulfilling to our hearts and to those of our loved ones.
And, while marriage is an important step in everyone’s life, it should also be noted that there are various other things out there too that should have your attention, in the same manner, marriage has.

1. Sign that lease and buy your own apartment or home. This will entirely be your own property, not that of your parents or siblings or even partners.
2. Get over your fear, at least once. Do the adventure activity that has always left you shit scared and get over the fear of it.
3. Ask for that raise when you know that you deserve it from your boss. Screw the contract, if you think that you’re worth a raise at this point in time, then go and ask for it.
4. Get in a serious relationship after which, you might end up in a painful breakup. So, learn to cope up with it and go back to normality, all by yourself.
5. Discover and rediscover spirituality. Now, this can be in any religion or simply in other things, like yoga.
6. When you’ve enough money, always try to help those who’re in need of it. A single burger for you can pay for a poor man’s entire family’s food for a day.
7. Gift your parents a vacation that they always dreamt of.
8. Or simply make it a point to take them out for dinner in their favourite restaurants. They are some of the most important people in your lives, be with them.
9. Accept challenging projects or jobs that take you out of your comfort zone. Be it work place or city.
10. Reconnect with an old friend that you always regretted losing touch with. Reach out to them and start new, there’s always time for that.
11. Buy your dream car, or at least one in your budget. This is the time to do it.
12. Do you want to get healthier? Then do it. Everyone should have a milestone in their life to be healthy and on their feets till, forever.
13. Treat your body as a temple and be always aware of what you’re putting in it. By the end of your late 20s, you’ll realise that eating pizza every day for dinner is just not the healthiest way of living. Which brings us to…
14. Learn how to cook. No matter you’re a woman or a man. Everyone should know how to cook for themselves and even be a helpful hand in the kitchen when someone else is preparing the food.
15. If you think that you should go back to college for that Master’s degree then do it. Education has no life span, you can get it whenever you feel the need and want for it.
16. Get yourself a health insurance plan.
17. Take than solo vacation trip that you have always dreamt of.
18. Say that Love You to the person you always wanted to. Just don’t come off as creepy.
19. Save money for those big plans and important events in life. Saving is one of the most important things that everyone should do, for a safe and sound future.
20. Be at a stage in life where when you look at college and school kids, you feel that you’re glad to be at this stage of your life, as opposed to I’d give anything to go back.
